30' bulk t-series t8 t11 t14 t17 t20 (without loops)
This is the new Rio T-Series (2026). It has a thinner diameter and less stretch than previous versions, but it is also more difficult to weld. I recommend using braided loops or folding the line back on itself and securing it with a nail knot. I'll add photos soon.
The Type 3 is made by Maxcatch, not Rio. It's a 30' full sink shooting head with a slight taper on each end. Unlike the new Rio T-Series, it's actually quite easy to weld, although braided loops work well too if you prefer..... It's fairly thick (similar in diameter to T-17), so it's best suited for Spey lines of 450 grains and up. For lighter setups, it may feel a bit bulky and can affect turnover.
7–12wt braided loops work best for all sizes of Rio T-Series. Install and secure with a nail knot, then coat with Pliobond or Aquaseal. In a pinch, a small dab of super glue will also hold
