These tips are used to convert floating lines into sinking setups, allowing anglers to match the fly depth to the speed of the river

they don't have welded loops, I fold the line over, secure it with a nail knot, and seal it with Pliobond or aquaseal. It may not look as sleek as a factory weld, but it’s incredibly strong and built to last—potentially for a decade
Scientific Anglers Sink Tip Rates (General Guide)
- Intermediate: \(1.25\) ips (ideal for shallow, slow water).
- Type II (Sink 2): \(\approx 1.75 - 2.75\) ips.
- Type III (Sink 3): \(\approx 2.5 - 3.5\) ips.
- Type IV (Sink 4): \(\approx 4.0 - 5.0\) ips.
- Type V/VI (Sink 6): \(\approx 4.5 - 6.0\) ips.
