Poly Yarn – dry fly material
Poly yarn is a lightweight, water-resistant synthetic fiber commonly used in fly tying. Its natural buoyancy makes it ideal for parachute posts, wings on dry flies, and strike indicators. To enhance its flotation, apply dry fly dressing before use on the water. Easy to work with and highly visible, poly yarn is a versatile addition to any fly tyer’s bench.
Antron Yarn (Carded) -Located at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
While it doesn’t float quite as well as poly yarn, Antron is slightly easier to work with. It’s an excellent choice for shucks, wing cases, sparkle caddis, or even as a subtle addition to dry flies to enhance visibility.
