point 75 Premium Floating Line (made by northern sports in Ontario)
Designed for modern graphite rods, the Point 75 series is the highest floating state-of-the-art line available. The Teflon treated Flex-Cote coating has a slick finish with a very low coefficient of friction for long, accurate casts.
The coating is rated at a phenomenally low .75 Specific Gravity (water being 1.0 S.G.), giving these lines superb buoyancy, even in the roughest water
Northern Sports fly lines are true to AFTMA grain weights, while Rio and Scientific Anglers fly lines tend to run about half a line weight to a full line weight heavier. Because of this, I often opt for one line weight up when using Northern Sports fly lines (For example, I use a 4wt line on my 3wt fly rod)
